Privacy Policy

Your bag tells your story. Here is how we handle the information you choose to share with WITB.
About this policy
WITB is a golf community app for building and sharing golf bags, discovering equipment, and following golfers and brands. This policy explains how Jason Yeh, the operator of WITB, handles information when you use our website and private test app.
The private test is intended for adults aged 18 and older. Some features are still being developed. This policy describes the current service; a feature being discussed or shown as a preview does not mean that an external account connection or transaction service is active.
Information we collect
Account information: your email address, account identifier, name, chosen username, and authentication information. When you use email and password, Supabase handles password authentication. When you choose Google sign-in, we receive basic account information such as your Google account identifier, name, email address, and, if provided, profile photo. We do not receive your Google password or request access to Gmail, contacts, or your Google Drive files.
Information you add: club and bag configurations, equipment preferences, Dream Bag items, golfers and brands you follow, and any golf details you choose to enter, such as a handicap, home course, or recent round scores. Listing drafts, referral information, and test reward activity may also be stored. We do not need your GHIN password. There is currently no live GHIN connection; golf details are entered manually.
Technical information: our service providers may process IP addresses, browser and device information, request times, and diagnostic or security logs to deliver and protect the app. Visiting an external image host, playing a video, or opening a retailer link can also send technical information to that provider.
How we use information
We use information to create and secure accounts, save and display bags, operate profile links, personalize the feed, remember follows and preferences, provide test rewards and referrals, respond to support requests, and troubleshoot or improve the service.
We may use equipment selections and addition dates to produce popularity and trending summaries. We do not need to show a person’s email address or private golf details in those summaries. We may send essential account, security, and service messages. Signing up does not automatically subscribe you to promotional email.
Your profile and sharing choices
Claiming a username creates a profile link. Your username, display name, main bag, and bag update date are visible to people who can access that profile, including people who are not signed in. Do not put information you want to keep private in your display name or main bag.
Optional profile settings control whether your golf details, other bags, Dream Bag, and followed equipment appear on your public profile. Review those settings before sharing your link. Your account email is not included in your public profile.
People who receive a shared profile or exported bag image can save or pass it on. Changing a setting or deleting information cannot remove copies that other people have already saved.
Cookies and storage on your device
WITB uses authentication cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in, remember your setup, and cache changes. Guest bags and some preview features, including listing drafts and rewards, are stored on the device rather than in a shared account database. Signed-in account features also use Supabase storage.
Signing out does not necessarily erase saved browser data. You can clear this site’s cookies and storage through your browser; doing so may remove guest bags or changes that have not synced. Use care on a shared computer.
The current test does not include third-party advertising pixels or a separate marketing analytics tool. If we introduce optional tracking that requires your consent, we will explain it and provide the required choice before using it.
Service providers and external content
We use Supabase for account authentication and database services. Google is an optional sign-in provider. Hosting, network, and email delivery providers process information needed to operate the service. They receive information relevant to the services they provide.
Some product photos and video thumbnails load from external sites. A YouTube player loads when you choose to play an embedded video; we use YouTube’s privacy-enhanced embed domain, but playback still involves Google and YouTube processing data. External sites have their own privacy policies and controls.
Pro Shop links take you to independent retailers or marketplaces. Those sites handle any purchases and their own tracking. If affiliate tracking is enabled, a retailer or affiliate network may receive a referral identifier and information about your visit or purchase to attribute a commission. We do not send your private bag, account email, or golf details in retailer links.
We do not sell your personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising in the current test. We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to valid legal requests, prevent fraud or harm, or protect rights. If ownership of WITB changes, information may transfer with the service, subject to this policy and applicable notice requirements.
Retention and security
We keep account information while your account is active and as reasonably needed to operate the service. Information may be retained longer where needed for security, fraud prevention, legal obligations, or resolving disputes. Backup copies may remain until the backup cycle removes them, and data stored in your browser remains until you or your browser clear it.
We use access controls and authentication services to help protect account information. No service can guarantee perfect security. Please use a strong password, protect your sign-in account, and report suspected unauthorized access.
Our current Supabase project is hosted in the United States. Service providers may process information in other countries, where privacy rules can differ from those where you live.
Access, correction, and deletion
You can edit your bag and supported profile fields in the app. To request access to, a copy of, correction of, or deletion of your account information, email jason.oliver@gmail.com. Account deletion is handled by request during the private test. We may need to verify that the request comes from the account owner; please never send a password.
Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to restrict or object to certain processing, withdraw consent, use an authorized agent, or complain to your local privacy regulator. We will handle requests as required by applicable law and will not penalize you for exercising those rights. Some information may need to be retained for the reasons described above.
You can disconnect WITB in your Google account’s third-party access settings. Disconnecting Google does not itself delete your WITB account or information; contact us to request deletion.
Children, changes, and contact
WITB’s private test is for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us so we can investigate and remove it as appropriate.
We will update the date on this page when this policy changes. For material changes, we will provide an appropriate notice in the app or by email and seek consent where required. Questions and privacy requests can be sent to Jason Yeh at jason.oliver@gmail.com.
